“It Takes a Village” Conference – May 31, 2018
“It Takes a Village” Conference Supporting Parents Supporting Professionals Supporting Children Who Are Visually Impaired
Our “It Takes a Village” conference is intended to share information with parents and professionals throughout Ontario in supporting their children who are visually impaired. The conference will feature many sessions that focus on the Expanded Core Curriculum (e.g., Orientation and Mobility, Independent Living Skills, Assistive Technology, Compensatory Skills such as Braille and concept development), transitioning from high school, as well as important information about IPRCs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students who are visually impaired. We are excited to have our staff at W. Ross Macdonald School and other professionals in the province share their knowledge to help support you in your child’s journey!
Please park in the lower level parking lot, and head to the first floor of the Senior Residence, where registration will be taking place. Signs and balloons will be placed in the parking lot, directing participants to the conference.
W. Ross Macdonald School is a nut-free environment, so please limit the food you may bring in. Also, please note that the school is scent-free.
