This event is a biennial, province-wide opportunity for fellowship, communication, interaction and enjoyment for all elementary Deaf students in Ontario.
The theme for the event is “Opening Doors” There will be Deaf performers, ASL and cultural activity centres for student engagement in exploring options for future careers, and exploring ASL Literacy activities, entertainment and workshops.
This festival brings together not only students from Provincial Schools for the Deaf but also for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in school boards, as well as children in the Resource Services Home Visiting Program.
The logo for this year’s festival was created by Kastoslote Elijah, a Robarts student. The logo depicts the theme for this year’s Deaf Children’s Festival in which Deaf students can explore a whole wide world when doors of opportunity are opened.
