Good afternoon,

I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge and thank Patrick Keyes for taking on the interim Executive Director role for the Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch (PDSB) on a short term assignment. As many of you are aware, Patrick joined the branch in September bringing in his knowledge of inclusive education and special education, and his extensive experiences as a former Superintendent of Education with the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Patrick supported the operations and stakeholder relations for PDSB throughout this fall season, and we are grateful for his dedication and service to the Ministry of Education.

Effective December 2nd, 2019, Holly Moran will be appointed as the interim Executive Director for PDSB while a search for an Executive Director is finalized . Holly has currently been serving on assignment as the Executive Director of the Student Support and Field Services Division. Holly’s leadership in the division has been especially appreciated during a time of transition and public attention on key portfolios within the Special Education/Success for All and Field Services branches.

Previously, Holly was the Executive Director at Tribunals Ontario, where she led the work to develop a new organizational structure, modernize business analytics, and strengthen working relationships across the sector. Holly’s strategic thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills have already made a positive impact on the division and will undoubtedly serve to support and strengthen the vital work of PDSB.

Thank you to Patrick and Holly for your leadership and commitment to better support all students across Ontario.
