Mrs. Sherry Eacrett (Student Support Manager)
Ms. Angela McHardy (Principal)

Amethyst’s mission is to provide a safe place where students, families and staff find support to learn, grow, discover and ultimately “Believe in Themselves”.

Congratulations to our award winners last week:

  • Ms. Shkilnyk’s math class won the Grit award
  • Mrs. Woodiwiss’ class won the Growth Mindset award
  • Mrs. KH’s class won the Golden Headset award
  • Ms. McGrath’s class won the WOW award
  • Cameron L. won the Kindness award

Congratulations to all of our students on a wonderful 2021-22 school year. It has been a pleasure to work with all of you and your families.

Last night we celebrated all of our students at our Recognition Night. We are so proud of all of you!

Congratulations to Cameron Latta and Mackenzie Kerr who were the recipients of the Principal Award and to Jasmine Broere who was the Valedictorian. You all exemplify our Amethyst motto- work hard, be nice and believe in yourself.

Thank you to all of the Amethyst staff. We will be saying goodbye to Mrs. KH, Ms. Dalzell, Mrs. Woodiwiss, Mrs. Vincent, Mr. Sherwood, Mrs. Flesaru and Ms. Beauchesne. We wish you all the best next year in your new positions. We appreciate all of your contributions to the students and the program here.

On Monday, June 27th, students will participate in our final assembly, virtually, at 10:00 am and will have asynchronous work posted in their Google Classrooms for the remainder of the day. Please note that Monday, June 27th is the last day of school. Tuesday, June 28th is a PD Day.

Students will have access to Lexia over the summer months. We suggest developing a summer reading schedule with your child with 30 minutes to 1 hour (or more) a day of reading practice. This will help students be prepared for next year and limit the reading loss we know can occur over holidays.

Wishing you all a wonderful summer holiday – stay safe and have fun!
